1. Soft Body Armor is like any other type of equipment; it requires

maintenance and care. Of course, these factors exert great influence on its usable life cycle. Officially, producers of ballistic materials have recommend five (5) years of usable life. This is due to the fact that soft body armor is a relatively new technology and until the mid-1980's, there was no formalized scientific process to measure armor longevity. The number one enemy of soft body armor is moisture. If armor is not damaged it will perform well beyond 5 years. If you were to take a 10-15 year old vest from your storage room and shoot it, you would be surprised at the old vest’s stopping power.

of service you obtain from it and how much you spend to keep it looking and performing at peak condition. 3. Vest Refurbishment includes all of the following services:

· Disassembly and Inspection

· Repair or replacement of defects due to NORMAL WEAR*

· Cleaning the ballistic materials

· Ballistic panel sonicly resealed with a new pouch to prevent moisture penetration

· New outershell standard carrier or a TRANSPOR® carrier if originally purchased

* May be additional charges for ballistic layer replacement

4. Individual vests are normally returned within five business days after arrival at our factory, NO UPFRONT COST.

  • Reliance Armor Systems, Inc. certifies that the ballistic panels installed in your protective garment conform with NIJ Standard 0101.04 for the threat level specified on the label of the ballistic panels.
  • The removable outershell carrier is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase, excluding misuse and normal wear and tear.
  • We certify the ballistic panels installed in your protective garment are free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase. If you return your protective garment to us for refurbishment, at your expense, within three (3) years from the date of purchase, this warranty will be extended for an additional one (1) year, thus increasing the warranty to a total of six (6) years.
  • The ballistic panel warranty may be further extended for two (2) additional three (3) year periods under the following circumstances:
  • If you return your protective garment to us for a second time for refurbishment, at your expense, within six (6) years from the date of purchase, we will extend the ballistic panels warranty from six (6) years to nine (9) years.
  • If you return your protective garment to us for a third time for refurbishment, at your expense, within nine (9) years from the date of purchase, we will extend the ballistic panel warranty from nine (9) years to twelve (12) years.
